Cats, these fascinating creatures rule the city of Male', not only Male' but the whole Maldives. Maldives is a country who embraced Islam as their religion. Just like a typical Islamic country, you will never find dogs in this tiny island. Cats, birds and rabbits are the most common pets in Maldives. Out of above you can find lot of stray cats and pigeons almost in every alley and every building in the city of Male'. When you walk along the bustling city roads, you will come-across various type, size, colour, breed cats hiding in the corners of the ally, parked motorcycles. When I first stepped in to the city of Male', I've got bit curious about the dogs' lives, as I'm a dog lover. Isolated at Home....

It’s a new year, 2020... after last year’s post I couldn’t find time to upload any new stories about my life in Maldives. The last post I’ve updated had nothing to do with Maldives, but it actually related to few incidents happened in my career-life. So after spending 06 years at the company that I’ve worked in Male’, I’ve decided to move on and look for a new path in my life with the beginning of the year 2020. As a result of moving out of the company, I had to change my current work visa to dependent (family) visa as I can easily live in Male’ under my husband’s company visa. In order to get dependent visa, I left Maldives during February 2020 to start a new phase in my life. Well what a timing.... everything went smoothly till the Covid 19 AKA Corona virus strikes both Maldives and Sri Lanka at once. In Maldives, my visa process got delayed and in Sri Lanka the government shut down the airport later locked-down the whole country. So now I’m stuck at my parents' house... ...
