Dreaming of the Maldives!

Image
Did you know that it's not just a paradise for vacation but also one of the best countries in South Asia to live and work? Over the past 10 years, the Maldives has seen remarkable development. As a Sri Lankan, I've found it to be a welcoming community where skin color doesn't determine your acceptance. Unlike some Western countries, the Maldives embraces diversity and makes it easy to feel at home. Thinking about making a move? With at least a bachelor's degree, you can secure a decent job, and having a Master's opens doors to even better opportunities. Why waste your education on menial jobs elsewhere when you can enjoy a great lifestyle and a fulfilling career right here? But here's the catch - some may look down on us for choosing the Maldives over more 'popular' destinations. They might not understand how amazing it is here. Sri Lanka has its own beauty, but the progress we've seen in the Maldives is remarkable. Let's not judge based on ste...

A Tropical Food Adventure: Exploring Maldives Cuisine

Image
Picture yourself on a pristine beach in the Maldives, the sun kissing your skin, and the turquoise waters stretching as far as the eye can see. Now, let's talk about the food because that's where the real adventure begins! Fish, Fish, and More Fish If there's one thing that Maldives is famous for, it's the abundance of fish. The Maldivian diet revolves around all things fishy. Tuna is the king here, and it's treated in more ways than you can imagine. Grilled, curried, dried, and even minced into a delectable fish cake called 'masroshi.' It's like the Maldvies' own version of a fishy hamburger. Coconuts, the True MVPs Coconuts are like the secret ingredients that make Maldivian food so special. Coconut milk and grated coconut are used in pretty much everything. Ever heard of 'Garudhiya'? It's a fish soup that's like a comforting warm hug, and it's all about coconut and tuna. Rice & Roshi Rice is a staple, of course, and so is ...

Bye bye Colombo Ahh... finally after a long wait of exactly 01year and 02months, it's my time to travel back to Male’, Maldives. From  the month of January 2021 , I’ve started my job hunt to move back to Male’. Even though my husband can take me in under family visa category, I really thought  it's  high time for me to put my lazy idling mind back to full time work;  basically,  I’ve  done few work-home stuffs during last year, but considering financial situation which  I’ve  faced during the pandemic period, I cannot take the risk of putting all the burden on top of my husband. So, after facing few interviews I’ve landed a job in a company situated in Male ’.  ...

It's 2021....!!!

It's being ages that I have posted something on my blog. This COVID 19 turned our lives upside down in a flash. For the past few months (in 2020) I was bit busy with some "work from home" stuff, to be precise writing articles, making designs, managing social media accounts for few new & existing businesses. It's better to keep yourself busy rather than idling at home during this pandemic time (well earning some amount by working from home is not bad, you don't have to waste your time & money by travelling, can work freely at home on your own time; for me its late late night). I'm mostly spending my time by doing gardening and cleaning the house during day time; sometimes baking & cooking some weird dishes which I see online. And during night time with quite atmosphere it helps me to focus better to complete my work. Oh yes, I forgot to tell that, yes I'm still in Sri Lanka at my parents' home. Things are really bad here, specially in Wester...
